In March 2000, started its road to development with its very own Entertainment Company; which began as a management/artist relations company. By 2003, the company had grown into a full service independent record label; known today as EM’AGE Records. Jamal Johnson the CEO/President of Top of the World/Groove Network started the company to educate young artist about the music industry and while reaching their goals. Over the years Top of the World Entertainment has been able to uphold strong relationships with various organizations to not only improve their company; but the organizations themselves. Top of the World Sports has been heavily involved with community and youth involvement for over six years. At Top of the World we have created events to educate youth about the music and sports related industries and try to improve their communities.
Top of the World Marketing division has developed, enhanced and created marketing initiatives for start-up to well established companies. Social Events Top of the World has planned, marketed and promoted were as follows: “Celebration of the End of Apartheid, South Africa,” and the “Steve Biko Birthday Celebration (a South African activist),” Annually we market Clear Channel’s Power 99 “The Tom Monoghan’s Annual Rib Cook Off,” and “Unity Day” festivities in Philadelphia, PA. Top of the World also has promoted International Events, for military personnel; where the company organized, produced and promoted concerts and events at OSAN Military Base and Seoul, South Korea, by using up and coming recording artists. Top of the World has utilized their EM’AGE Records to work with MBK Entertainment, the home of Alicia Keys, to create and promote a talent search for MBK Entertainment and J-Records in Philadelphia, PA. They have also planned fundraisers for various non-profit organizations; such as the “Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation” just to name a few. Top of the World has also promoted “3 on 3 basketball tournaments” for charity, hip-hop freestyle competitions, and various album listening and release parties and fashion shows nationally to internationally, to reach today’s urban markets.
February 2011, The Groove Network was created as an On-line Television/Movie Network to give opportunities to Independent filmmakers, producers and directors to air their new sitcoms, movies and documentaries. We have created various channels on the Groove Network that extends from Drama, Horror, Comedy, Musicals to Sports. We have put a great interest into our very own created channel, GHTV-Channel 21.
